Brand New!

We finally did it! We decided to cut the cable! In an effort to help save money, and to seperate ourselves from the world, we got rid of our cable television! This being the case, we also changed ISPs to save a bit more, but we are no longer offered free internet space. To keep the family updated, we'll now try and keep up with this blog, which should be a bit easier, so hopefully we'll update more!

Okay, updates. Let's start with the parents. Josh and Jamie are both doing great. We're getting settled back in after moving a couple of months ago. With any luck, this will be the place we live in until we at lease graduate. We'll see how it goes after that. We also have Jamie's sisters living with us. Shirley (see photo below) decided to come and stay just to get out of dodge. We thought it would be a great idea to have her stay here and get familiar with BYU-Idaho in case she decides she'd like to attend here. Carrie, Jamie's other sister, gets to stay with us for a while by default. She had an accident at the sand dunes about 3 weeks ago and now has to have surgery on her neck. She'll be with us the rest of the semester.

Hunter is also doing good. He's getting a bit behind in math though. Last year's teacher didn't do so good with sticking to the curriculum, and now he's paying for it. He's getting huge though! He did football this summer and absolutely tore it up! He also just turned 10 and is growing up way too fast. He's also really big for his age and most people have a hard time believing he's only 10. He'll be on the same football team next year, and the coach is way excited because he was already just as big or bigger than most of the kids, so next year he'll just walk all over everyone else.

Mason also just had a birthday, he turned 7. One more year and then baptism! He doesn't really know what to think about that. He's struggling in school a bit with some ADD and the teachers are having a hard time getting him to concentrate and stay on task. He's really into bakugan (if that's even how you spell it) and won't stop talking about all the different characters. I do have to admit, they're pretty cool.

Brayden is loving kindergarten, he got put into class with his two best friends. It's hard to get hime not to go! He loves it so much that he'll be ready a couple hours in advance and just keep bugging us, "Can we go? Can we go?" He's getting to be pretty cute too.

Orrin is liking having some more mommy time while the others are at school, and I can't blame him. It's been pretty nice to have her come and eat lunch with me every now and then. Orrin is just as big as Brayden, at their last doctor appointments they were within 2 lbs of each other!

That's about it for now. Keep looking for update and pictures as I figure out the cool functionality of this blog!
